Overview

Proptec rotary atomizers reliably and efficiently turn liquids into droplets

Traditionally, rotary atomizers have been simple, inexpensive rotating disks for airless paint sprayers, small delicate units for pure liquids, or special-purpose devices as a component of spray drying equipment. The rotary atomization process is not limited to these applications. Proptec rotary atomizers have been designed and optimized to be used in a vast range of applications that require reliable, robust atomization of liquids ranging from pure water to challenging particulate-laden, corrosive, and viscous fluids.

  • The Proptec product line can create droplets from a fine mist (40 microns) to large rain-like drops (greater than 250 microns).
  • The liquid feed of a single unit can be controlled to produce flow rates from a few milliliters per hour up to 38 liters per minute (10 GPM) and does not require high pressure liquid or compressed air.
  • Proptec atomizers can handle a variety of fluids including highly viscous, corrosive, and with abrasive particulates. They can even mix two or more fluids in the atomizer head in different ratios.
  • The robust design produces reliable, continuous operation under extreme environmental conditions including exposed outdoor mobile applications, very high temperatures, and corrosive industrial environments, with little maintenance.
  • Once the atomizer has been optimized for a particular droplet size, it will continue to produce consistent, equally sized drops, even after long use or with contaminated fluid.

There are many ways to spray liquids, but if high reliability and low maintenance in extreme conditions are required, there is no alternative.

Proptec atomizers are used when other atomization technologies or equipment fail.
